Galen has been interested in Medieval history since a young age. He began training in oriental martial arts while in college in the late 70s then switched over to medieval foot combat at the first opportunity and have been pursuing that since 1984. He began riding and learning jousting immediately after becoming entranced by the Lysts on the Lake 2011 and has competed in every one since.
